I believe that watercolor is a magical medium. Although it is only WATER and COLOR, when the two are placed together their affinity for one another can create images that dazzle the eye. Transparent hues are especially pleasing to the eye, allowing the white of the paper to reflect back to the viewer’s eye, giving the image luminosity possible only with watercolor.
